These are FB (winds and temperatures aloft) forecasts, issued for around 160 stations in the US at the standard levels — 3,000 through 39,000 feet. Direction is true, speed in knots, temperature in Celsius. Levels close to a station's elevation are omitted from the forecast, and temperatures are not issued for the lowest levels.
The fastest rows on this page usually trace the jet stream; watch how the strongest station drifts along it from level to level. The coldest rows at the top levels sit near −60 °C, which is why fuel freeze points matter to jets.
